Concrete is the world's second-most abundant resource after water, making it the most widely used manufactured material globally. Its widespread use stems from its strength, durability, resilience, safety, and cost-effectiveness, making it vital for building
critical infrastructure.
Concrete is also central to advancing sustainable development. It helps mitigate and adapt to climate change, supports clean energy infrastructure, and enhances the energy efficiency of buildings, highlighting its importance in environmentally conscious
and responsible construction practices.
This free two-hour seminar will help construction professionals to enhance buildings and infrastructure via a better understanding of the current building for climate change context, the constituent materials of concrete, how to best specify low carbon
concrete and the efficiencies that can be achieved in design.
