The requirements of building occupiers and construction methodologies used by industry have advanced rapidly over the last decade. The seminar will introduce the new Concrete NZ technical specification on surface regularity requirements for concrete floors and provides more contemporary methods for assessing surface regularity for a variety of floor uses.

SPEAKERS PROFILES

Martin Lincoln
Martin is the General Manager of Certus and has over twenty years’ experience in the construction industry, working on a variety of projects throughout New Zealand including medical facilities, warehousing and commercial construction with experience in new business development, product and project management. Within his practice Martin routinely oversees the design of Industrial floors. He also regularly undertakes surface regularity measurements using modern equipment as will be outlined in the seminar.

Alan Ross
Alan has been involved in the NZ building industry for 20 years and has worked for a number of businesses, primarily ones that supply engineered products used in construction. He is a Chartered Engineer and specialises in the design and construction of large concrete slabs. He is currently the General Manager of Conset Construction, a leading concrete flooring contractor, and helps asset owners and tenants realise the best fit for purpose solution for their needs. Alan has been involved in University led research and development projects focussing on all things concrete. He has also sat on the AS3600 Concrete Structures Standard committee and was responsible for the writing of the steel fibre reinforced section of this Standard.

Tim Walker
Tim is an expert in the design, construction, upgrading and maintenance of high-performance concrete floors and pavements with a focus on helping logistics, manufacturing and retail businesses get the best value out of their property assets and increasing material handling efficiency and storage density. His clients include a number of global leaders in logistics and manufacturing. Tim has a strong focus on understanding end user requirements and providing innovative design solutions that make use of the latest material technology and automated construction processes to deliver results. He has over a decade of experience as both a consultant and contractor focusing on industrial concrete flooring and helping to provide the link between the Logistics and Construction Industry; matching the requirements of one with the capabilities of the other.
